Hand Forged Damascus Mokume Gane Lanyard Bead

True metallurgy enthusiasts know that real Damascus is about the fusion of different steels, not just a surface pattern.

This cylindrical, hand turned bead is forged from four different steels under immense heat.

We utilize Mokume Gane, an ancient and labor-intensive metalworking technique. By fusing layers of contrasting metals and deforming them, we create unique, organic patterns in the steel itself.

The pattern here is a deep etched wood grain design. It is ground, high grit buffed, and hand worked to create a smooth, dazzling piece that feels incredible in the hand.

Every bead is entirely unique. No two will ever look exactly the same. Each one arrives Renaissance waxed and polished, ready for immediate use.

These are not mass produced in a factory. We fuse all of our own Mokume Gane and Damascus steel right here in the shop. Every bead is completely custom made to order.
